![]() | About the Minnesota Psychoanalytic Society and Institute (MPSI)MPSI is a Community for Education and Professional MembershipMPSI is a vibrant and growing community for psychoanalysis in Minnesota and the Upper Midwest. MPSI is a nonprofit educational organization, providing a variety of training and educational opportunities in the field of psychoanalysis for members, professionals as well as the interested general public. MPSI is comprised of two divisions – The Society, a member organization of clinicians and professionals interested in psychoanalytic principles, and The Institute, which provides psychoanalytic training. The Society (MPS) The Society is a constituent society of the American Psychoanalytic Association. Members of MPS are clinicians and professionals who share a common enthusiasm for furthering the understanding and application of psychoanalytic concepts to the practice of psychotherapy and psychoanalysis, and, as it applies, to related professions that enrich lives across culture and society. * The Institute (MPI) An institute of the American Psychoanalytic Association, the MPI is dedicated to training future psychoanalysts. It offers an opportunity for clinicians to expand and deepen their professional skills based on psychoanalytic perspectives. *MPSI also offers a low-fee clinic, called the Minnesota Psychotherapy Center (MPC).
