"Why should society feel responsible only for the education of children, and not for the education of all adults of every age?"

MPSI Psychotherapy Center (Low Fee Clinic)

Providing Psychoanalytic Treatment and Education for the Community

The MPSI Psychotherapy Center is an educational and clinical setting under the direction and support of the Minnesota Psychoanalytic Society (MPS). Volunteer Clinical Fellows provide psychoanalytically informed therapy services to individuals, couples and families who otherwise would not have access to this level of treatment due to limited financial resources or lack of adequate health insurance.

The only setting of its kind in the Twin Cities, the Center is devoted to providing depth-oriented clinical services to clients, as well as intensive training to Clinical Fellows grounded in the continually expanding body of knowledge that informs psychoanalytic theory and technique.

Graduates of the Minnesota Psychoanalytic Institute and the Two-Year Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Training Program. as well as other members of MPSI with advanced psychoanalytic training, provide education to the Clinical Fellows through their contribution of consultation, teaching classes, and intensive supervision.
