Minnesota Psychoanalytic Society and Institute

A Community for Education and Professional Membership

The Minnesota Psychoanalytic Society and Institute (MPSI) is a vibrant and growing community for psychoanalysis in Minnesota and the Upper Midwest.  MPSI is a not-for-profit educational organization, providing a variety of training and educational opportunities in the field of psychoanalysis for members, varied professionals as well as the interested general public.

MPSI is comprised of two divisions – the Society, a member organization of clinicians and professionals interested in psychoanalytic principles, and the Institute, which provides psychoanalytic training.

The Society

The Society is a constituent society of the American Psychoanalytic Association. Members are clinicians and professionals who share a common enthusiasm for furthering the understanding and application of psychoanalytic concepts to the practice of psychotherapy and psychoanalysis, and, as it applies, to related professions that enrich lives across culture and society.
